History and places of interest

The hotel-restaurant "Rotes Haus" is first mentioned in chronicles from 1448 as a roadside inn and guesthouse. It is one of the oldest and most renowned taverns in Brugg, having hosted several prophets over the centuries.

The Vindonissa Museum, the Roman amphitheater, the Königsfelden Minster, and the Habsburg Castle are some of the most famous historical sites in and around Brugg. From April to October, the Vindonissa Legionary Trail offers exciting expeditions to original Roman sites, providing adventure for both children and adults.

Social Commitment

As our slogan "Becoming Fit for the Economy" suggests, Hotel Rotes Haus Brugg PLC is dedicated to helping people. We participate in cantonal development programs, offering certificate courses, integration actions, practical apprenticeships, and basic education.

Through supervised traineeships in housekeeping, cleaning, and breakfast services, we help individuals gain valuable work experience and meet the expectations of future employers. These services are provided in collaboration with the Rotes Haus Foundation and the “Wendepunkt Wettingen” Foundation, which handle technical responsibilities and job coaching.
